“And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.” – Romans 10:17
We have a Worship Service on Sunday morning and evening and a Bible study and prayer time on Wednesday evening. There is also a deaf ministry for those who are hearing impaired. The preaching of God’s inspired and preserved Word is the most important ministry of Heritage Baptist Church.
“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ…” – 2 Peter 3:18
Whether you’re a new or long time believer, we all have growing to do, and nothing helps us grow more than the rich, transforming truth of God’s Word. All church members and guests are welcome to attend.
“Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD…” – Psalm 127:3
At Heritage Baptist Church, we believe that God has a special tailor-made plan for every child’s life. Our professional nursery for children up to 36 months (3 years old), strives to provide a caring, safe environment during all of our service times. Children in kindergarten through 7th grade participate in weekly Sunday school. Each class is filled with exciting Bible stories, singing, Bible memory, and games. Each Wednesday evening, children can participate in the Expeditions Ministry which focuses on missions and Scripture memory.
“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. ” – 1 Timothy 4:12
We have very active teens with a weekly Sunday School class, monthly activities, opportunities to serve, camps, conferences, and missions trips
“Now then we are ambassadors for Christ…” – 2 Corinthians 5:20
No matter what stage of life you’re in, you will be encouraged and strengthened through the clear teaching of God’s word. Our adult Bible Study on Sunday morning is a wonderful opportunity to develop friendships and deepen your faith in Christ.
“And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.” – 2 Corinthians 5:15
Our College and Career ministry is geared towards those that are either enrolled in college classes or have graduated and are now employed. Weekly Sunday School lessons and group Bible study activities will be a blessing to you as you seek to grow more like Christ.
We are also growing a Collegians for Christ group on Auburn University campus, which is less than half an hour from our church location.
“I have chosen the way of truth…” – Psalm 119:30
Media is a powerful means of influence. This web site has been designed to keep you updated with current information about our church and to communicate God’s truth by providing helpful resources that will strengthen your walk with Christ.
“The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever…” – Psalm 33:11
In every worship service, you will hear sound Biblical counsel from the preaching of the Word of God that has the answers to every circumstance in life. Sometimes it may be helpful to privately meet with the pastor and/or pastor’s wife to gain a Biblical perspective for personal matters such as marriage, family, and finances. Our pastor would love to have the opportunity to help you apply Biblical counsel to your specific need. An appointment with Pastor Endicott can be made by contacting the church.
“And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God…” – Psalm 40:3
As Christians, all of our music is sung and played to the glory of God and for the edification of the saints. Music is a vital part of every gathering of Heritage Baptist Church. Congregational singing, instrumental arrangements, singing groups, solos and the orchestra are all ways that each church member can have a part in exalting Christ and edifying the church.
“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” – Mark 16:15
Through preaching, personal evangelism seminars, and hands-on training, every church member is encouraged to actively evangelize the lost through organized church soulwinning and in their daily lives. Each Saturday we go house to house inviting people to church and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. There are also ministries to a local Nursing Home and a Detention Center, and a van ministry used to bring people to church.
